The overall uniform is pretty subtle and calming, yet very defining in terms of showing reliance and a form of order as opposed to being too militaristic or threatening (though such things can be added to the uniform). The traditional different shades of brown portraying comfort, resilience, and security. The use of the cavalry hat signifying a cowboy (a deputy) entering the wild west (the apocalypse) to come clean up a town (bringing order to chaos). The overall presence of a boomer period (Rick's Colt Python) adapting to the modern world. This uniform carries a very important narrative meaning behind it to which can be interpreted in various roleplaying scenarios without having too much on it.
On a personal note, I would consider the overall uniform to be standard issue based on the overall quality, color palettes, and defining presence it gives. Not to mention the awareness of how some (or few) members of KRP including Corporal Scott would like to wear this uniform in service too.
